As Minister of Music, Jay is responsible for leading the congregation in a time of corporate worship, directing the choir, and leading instrumentalists.  His heart's desire is to lead others in a time of true worship with the Living Christ.
 
Jay's calling to the ministry came at the age of sixteen during youth camp at Ridgecrest.  In 1995, God provided him with his first opportunity to serve Him.  At only nineteen years of age, Jay was called as Minister of Music at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Frankfort.  In 2003, Jay was lead to begin serving at East Frankfort. 
 
Jay is a graduate of Kentucky State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.  This degree gave Jay the musical foundation to serve God the way He intended.
 
Jay and his beautiful wife, Tonya, were married in 1999.  They are blessed with two children, Leighann and Logan.

Michael Welch began his part of Jesus’ Kingdom work at East Frankfort Baptist in September of 2014 as Interim Youth Minister and became permanent in May of 2015.  Michael loves King Jesus and teens and wants to see them get together!  He’s blessed with a very patient wife, Patti, who’s been his right hand and encourager since November 23, 1991!  They are blessed with two sons that make them laugh and make them proud, Sean and Ryan.  Michael was a full time Youth Minister for 20 years in churches in Kentucky, Georgia, and Mississippi.  He’s thrilled to be able to minister with our youth!

Annette is married to Mark Meade and they have 2 daughters, Melina and Miranda, and are blessed with a granddaughter, Jasmine, all of whom attend EFBC.  Mark and Annette met in high school and were wed November 1984 in their hometown of Ashland, KY.  Several years later, Mark’s job moved them to Frankfort and the Lord led them to EFBC in March 1993; Annette became church secretary in December 1996.  Annette received an Associate Degree from Ashland Community College, a branch of the University of Kentucky, in the Spring of 1983.

Not only does Annette enjoy her ministry as church secretary, but she also loves working with children through the Awana program, nursery, and Sunday School were she has taught for many years.
